H & S Restores Pickens County Courthouse
H & S Roofing and Gutters will be re-roofing the gable sections of the courthouse roof
The Pickens County Courthouse is located in Pickens, SC. The Town was named after Andrew Pickens, a Revolutionary War hero. The Courthouse is build on the bank of the Keowee River and was the centerpiece of the town that developed around it. Originally built in 1869, the Courthouse was expanded in 1959.
H & S Roofing and Gutters will be re-roofing the gable sections of the courthouse roof. The existing slate roof is being replaced using natural Virginia slate in a beautiful blend of greens, grays, and violet. The Greenstone slate offers a 100-year limited warranty. H&S Roofing is carefully removing the existing slate material so that it can be put to used for repairs and small projects, rather than being landfilled. In addition, we will be removing the existing integrated copper gutter system and replacing it with a new 20oz. integrated copper gutter system.
