First of all, it is very important that the contractor is licensed and bonded. Here are other tips on what to look for in a reputable roofing contractor... |
Be
sure the contractor has been in the roofing business in your area for at
least five years. Longevity at the same office location is also
reassuring. Ask for proof of these items. If the contracting
company is serious about staying in the roofing business, they will
likely be affiliated with roofing, contracting and other business
associations which promote ethics and reliability, such as Carolina
Roofing and Sheet Metal Association, American Subcontractors
Association, National Association of Remodeling Contractors, and the
National Roofing Association. Many homeowners have been taken by
roofing companies that start up one day, and are gone in a short
while. These associations will not allow these types of companies
to be represented in their associations. Membership in these
organizations shows company stability. |

"Very
efficient, protected my shrubbery around the house. We were amazed
at how rapidly the work was done. Clean-up afterwards was good. Men
doing the job were very friendly and helpful." |
